Hi, I am Jennifer Smith.

I am a photographer based out of Charlotte, North Carolina. I attended Appalachian State University and graduated with a degree in Special Education in 2016. I taught both elementary and high school before resigning in 2021. I got married in 2019 to a pretty awesome guy and we now have a little one that ends up being in front of the camera probably more than he likes. We have 2 rather large dogs, Bentley and Elton (named after the infamous Sir Elton John of course), and a pony, Julie (also known as chubs. chub chubs, Jules). I competed Julie at local and rated events up until the end of 2020 when I retired her at the age of 21 to enjoy her golden years eating and being loved on by my son.

As for photography, I have been taking photos for others since 2019 on and off and decided I wanted to do more after resigning from teaching in 2021. Horses are my passion and I love capturing the bond between horse and rider as well as every horse's individual personality. I got asked to do some differing sessions for friends and family and just fall more and more in love with getting creative behind the camera. From there my interest in wedding photography grew with being able to capture every moment of such a special day. To be able to tell a story through my photos is my goal. I want to document all of those moments and deliver warm, true to color photos. This is my passion (besides my horse craze) and I want it to show through my work.
